Garudafood and Prochiz Host Cooking Demo, Continuous Commitment to Empower Women-Owned MSMEs

Bogor, 13 June 2024 – PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk (Garudafood) and its subsidiary, PT Mulia Boga Raya Tbk (MBR), the producer of Prochiz, hosted another cooking demo in 2024, bringing together over 200 women ultra-micro entrepreneurs who are members of the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village in Bogor, West Java.

The cooking demo with the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village has been ongoing since 2023 at the Garudafood Head Office in Jakarta and Bandung, West Java. This is part of Garudafood's efforts to enhance the capacity of ultra-micro entrepreneurs by introducing culinary business ideas focused on processed cheese. It aims to sharpen their entrepreneurial instincts while fostering the creation of innovative products with commercial value.

The event hosted by Chef Septian Hidayat offered an interactive and informative experience for attendees. Fakhryl Muttaqin (Prochiz Brand Manager) was also present to officially open the cooking demo.

“We are very pleased to hold another cooking demo, this time in Bogor. Through this cooking demo, we aim to demonstrate our enthusiasm and support for the empowerment of women's MSMEs, particularly housewives and culinary entrepreneurs,” said Fakhryl.

The cooking demo with the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village community will continue and be held in other areas, such as Tasikmalaya and Garut in West Java.

The Garudafood Entrepreneurship Village Community is one of Garudafood Sehati's CSR programs under the pillar of community empowerment. By 2023, a total of 454 groups and 1,870 housewives had joined and benefited from the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village program. This program focuses on identifying the community's business potential to foster a more independent, empowered, and productive society.
