Garudafood's Optimism to Maintain Double-Digit Profit Growth in the Second Half of 2024

Jakarta, 21 August 2024 - Paulus Tedjosutikno (Director of PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk) (Garudafood) became a speaker at the "BNI Sekuritas Consumer Group Discussion" event with the topic of Consumer Purchasing Power which was held at the Alila SCBD Hotel Jakarta (21/8). The other speaker was Michael Tene (PT Victoria Care Indonesia), and the moderator was Yongky Susilo (former Executive Director of PT The Nielsen Company Indonesia).

Attended by 25 capital market securities company professionals, Paulus shared insights about the projected potential impact of new government policies on consumer spending and market trends in the second half of 2024 and 2025, identified significant changes in consumer behavior that have recently emerged, and discussed how businesses can navigate and strategize in an ever-evolving competitive environment.

Paulus hopes and is optimistic that Indonesia's macroeconomic conditions will improve in 2024. He is also optimistic about the opportunities and potential of new Garudafood businesses, such as Garuda Beverage Sukses and Garuda Sehat Jaya, in 2024. One of Garudafood's growth strategies for 2024 focuses on leveraging the beverage business as a critical pillar for profit growth by enhancing distribution channels and expanding multi-channel sales penetration.

He also highlighted that Garudafood, as a company that values innovation, is increasing its investment in research and development (R&D) to understand better and fulfill consumer needs for its products. In addition, Garudafood has a new product pipeline for 2024, including Garuda Rosta baked potato snacks and Chocolatos Rich.
